Ermetris: technology at service of public transport

Technology at service of public transport:

There are many advantages offered by technology applied to transport, Ermetris, a Hi-Tech company specialized in this sector, can offer various technological services. For over a decade, our research and development department has been studying new technologies to improve the service offered by public and private transport.

Bus stops

Stops, for example, may be equipped with various functions that are particularly useful for passengers, including:
  • Access to a broadband internet connection
  • Screens that show real-time information on the journey of the vehicle
  • Touch-screen panels with which to interact and access interactive maps, news and useful information
  • Possibility to recharge the smartphone via USB sockets.
They may also be equipped with CCTV cameras and emergency buttons to increase safety and make it easier to contact emergency services. In high-density areas, where network coverage is limited, it will be possible to create connections with the networks of telecommunications operators. All this is inserted in the context known as Smart Cities, our main partner in this area is Fidev, a high-tech consulting company. Fidev specializes in identifying new technological solutions capable of improving the quality and performance of urban services.

On board

Stops aren’t the only ones to take advantage of the benefits of technology. In fact, several intelligent devices are already available on board the buses. For example, thermoscanners such as Efesto are able to detect the body temperature of passengers as they enter, this device is particularly useful in this pandemic period. Another product of great importance is the passenger counter, Ermetris is close to the launch of ZyKlop, this device is equipped with artificial intelligence software with statistical accuracy very close to 100%, and able to distinguish objects from people with a ability to reduce false counts to zero. This product is very useful for scheduling routes in real time and enabling better service to users. This will allow means of transport to travel with an adequate number of passengers.
